Is it really “just printing” ?

This is a question I ask myself very often. Well, just because, when printing doesn’t work the way you want it or doesn’t work at all, people get cranky or angry even. Well, you might usually say: “Come on, it’s just printing”. Of course if you’re printing invoices, travel & expenses reports, sales reports or etiquettes that go onto your products you might even consider productivity or revenue loss. Is it only printing then? I guess it’s not.

I’ve been involved in big printing projects including hundreds of MFDs (Multi Functional Devices), thousands of users, dozens of printservers and SQL servers, quite a handful of UniFLOW installations, SAP printing, reporting and so on.
